On Tuesday, members of the DDI team were in attendance for the groundbreaking ceremony of the forthcoming Celebree School Dallas Arts District. We heard from Mindi McClure (pictured center right), the owner-operator of the school, and learned more about the school that will bring much-needed early childhood education and childcare to our vibrant Downtown community.
Opening in the fall of 2023 at the Galbraith building in the Dallas Arts District, Celebree will warmly welcome 172 students at full capacity. With 10 classrooms catering to ages between six weeks and four years, this innovative school is committed to nurturing the young minds of our city.
We also heard from Jack Matthews of DDI Board of Governors company Matthews Southwest, as the developer of the Galbraith and early advocate for the Celebree School, and DDI-Board of Governors member Lily Weiss, Executive Director of the Dallas Arts District, to wish Celebree well in its new home.
The school will span over 10,000 square feet and include a breathtaking 5000-square-foot playground area. The highlight of this outdoor haven is an urban garden, where children will learn to plant seeds and watch them grow into full-grown plants, fostering a love for nature and environmental responsibility.
With a welcome center already open at the nearby Dallas High School, Celebree is eager to connect with parents and the community.
Thank you to DDI’s Doug Prude, who helped Mindi McClure locate the space that will become the Celebree School Dallas Arts District.
