Franchisees Honored for Standout Performance in the Industry as They Gear Up to Open Second School at Amazon’s HQ2
March 03, 2023 // Franchising.com // BALTIMORE – Celebree School, a leader in early childhood education that provides infant and toddler care, preschool, before and aftercare, and summer camp programs, announces one of its top performing franchise groups, Kate and Brian Mulcahy, are the recipients of the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) prestigious Franchisee of the Year Award.
The Franchisee of the Year Award, sponsored by IFA’s partner Paychex, recognizes leading franchise owners from IFA member brands whose outstanding performance and contributions help protect, enhance, and promote the franchise business model. Nominated by their parent company, individuals are selected for their service to their communities, fostering a strong and vibrant workforce, opening the doors for career growth and entrepreneurship, and supporting their fellow franchisees.
Kate and Brian Mulcahy opened their first Celebree School in September 2021 in the Tysons Corner community and have since exceeded enrollment goals while receiving rave reviews. They are eager to open their second school at the highly anticipated Metropolitan Park for Amazon’s second headquarters in Arlington, Virginia – slated to open in Summer 2023.
“We are incredibly honored and humbled by this award win,” said Brian. “It’s a testament to all our hard work and team efforts. We put an immense focus on our team members, providing them with growth opportunities that allow them to maximize their full potential – and they are doing just that. We know that the more we pour into our teachers, the more they pour into the students. We are incredibly proud of our team and share this award win with them,” added Kate.
Outside the four walls of their schools, the Mulcahys are community advocates. Not only does Kate volunteer at her children’s schools, but she also helps raise money for Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. where she serves as a committee member. Additionally, she teamed up with the CEO of Celebree School, Richie Huffman, to be the Spotlight Sponsor for the 2022 Light Up the Season Event to benefit Children’s National Hospital. Kate’s donation of $10,000, along with the corporate donation of $10,000, strongly impacts the families across their community.
“Between being business owners, parents, and community engagement advocates, the Mulcahys are highly deserving of recognition among the franchisee community as standout candidates for the Franchisee of the Year award,” said Huffman. “This is just the start of their journey in franchising, and we can’t wait to watch them make an even greater impact throughout their communities in the years ahead as they continue to grow with our brand.”
Today, Celebree has 26 corporate schools, 13 franchise locations, and 90-plus in various stages of development. As franchise development continues to surge, Celebree School is looking for qualified and engaged individuals seeking single and multi-unit opportunities who are involved in their community, have a passion for childhood education, and are eager to explore the world of franchising.
“Franchisee of the Year recipients represent the best in franchising,” said Matthew Haller, president and CEO of the International Franchise Association. “This is the highest honor IFA awards to individual franchisees, and local business owners like the Mulcahys exemplify the power of franchising and its positive contributions to communities around the world.”
When franchisees invest with Celebree School, they’re investing in an organization with a strong culture, solid systems, and a proven business model backed with 28-plus years of experience in providing exceptional early childhood education.
